Role/Position to Fill:

  • Assistant Graphic Designer

Role/Position Requirements and/or Preferences:

  • Moderate to strong familiarity of the B2B landscape with focus on apparel
  • Strong sense and understanding of aesthetics, color theory and composition in alignment to the POL Clothing brand
  • Strong photo editing/retouching skills and be able to work on photo editing assignments for up to 8 hours over the course of a week at any given time
  • Comprehensive and fundamental understanding of design principles such as balance, contrast, alignment and hierarchy
  • Technical proficiency in graphic design software - Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, etc.)
  • Creative adaptability to evolving design trends and brand image/aesthetic requirements
  • Keen eye on details to ensure accuracy and quality in final output
  • Animation (animated graphics, GIFs, multimedia content for website, socials, etc.)
  • General comprehension on print production knowledge for brochures, posters, packaging labels, etc.
  • General administrative skills

Role/Position Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with E-Comm management on generating digital assets for publication on the company website, online marketplaces and third-party sites as scheduled or as assigned
  • Create mood/story/message boards and graphic artwork for seasonal surface design concepts on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to support planned, scheduled or evolving brand messages as required by key decision makers
  • Design visuals for various marketing touchpoints (email campaigns, third-party ads, online marketplaces, POL Clothing website, social media, etc.)
  • Ensure quality, placement, grammar, spelling and typography of digital assets with initial, secondary and final review passes incorporated before publication and deliverability and that all digital assets are compliant to the standards and requirements needed for email campaigns, third-party ads, online marketplaces, POL Clothing website, social media, etc.
  • Uphold brand reputation expressed digitally across all commerce sites and structure product information allowing and driving customer-centric objectives
  • Maintain consistent image editing processes per POL Clothing's guidelines across all video/photo assets and deliver timely completion of any and all editing assignments
  • Attain complete proficiency in navigating SKU and sales data within the the company's ERP and acquire a comprehensive understanding of key data points that have a direct and immediate impact on the Graphic Design Team's responsibilities
  • Stay updated on industry trends and seek inspiration for fresh and relevant concepts that might be immediately applicable and/or potentially applicable in the near future whilst contributing innovative and compelling ideas to the creative process
  • Adhere to POL Clothing's brand guidelines at all times for each digital asset generated by the Graphic Design Team. Strive to enhance creative initiatives and refine current processes by delving into innovative graphic design methodologies, aiming to elevate the essence of the POL Clothing brand
  • Assist in photoshoot pre-production, preparation and post-production tasks (physical sample search, steaming, repackaging samples, agency appointments, production appointments, booking services with 3rd parties, etc.)
  • Maintain process discipline across all graphic tasks, assignments, projects and/or any other deliverables deemed priority by key decision makers
  • Collaborate with teams to achieve daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly targets
  • Own your daily, weekly and monthly task timelines and deliver completed successes of each timeline/task
  • Continuous aim in driving excellent results across all company-based key performance areas
  • Deliver, implement and exercise punctual communications within teams and with management
  • Be prepared and become adaptable to ever-evolving dynamic work needs when called upon
  • Ensure that all tasks and efforts aligns to company vision, goals and mission

[Important - Please Review Carefully]: In addition to the outlined responsibilities, this potentially role entails off-site travel to diverse states, cities, and locations corresponding to POL Clothing's market schedule. Commitment to travel obligations is essential, as determined by the company or when required. Trade show durations typically span 5-7 days, with market events frequently scheduled consecutively. A trade show schedule typically involves 2-3 days for booth setup, followed by anywhere from 2-5 days of the event itself (actual days of market will vary). The role may entail general manual tasks such as arranging product samples, steaming, decorative tasks, and any other duties as to be assigned or issued as needed during the trade show days. Before applying for this role, carefully consider your personal obligations that might interfere with your availability to the travel requirements outlined.

Standard and Expected Work Hours:

  • This is a full time position - 40 hours per week
  • Applicant must report on-site in person - 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday-Friday)
  • This is NOT a remote position
  • Potential for overtime hours (subject to workloads)

Compensation:

  • $18 to $24 per hour (higher ranges dependent on experience - estimated gross annual: $37,400 - $49,920)
  • Salary is NOT offered for this role/position
